Carnival (early March) - Signy L'Abbaye

The Signy Carnival is a must-see event in March! Months of secret preparations give life to incredible costumes and sensational floats. The festivities begin on Saturday evening with a costume ball, followed by a festive parade on Sunday. The highlight of the weekend is the fire of the buires, a gigantic blaze that symbolizes the beginning of spring.

Flea market (early May) - Signy L'Abbaye

The flea market in May brings together a large number of exhibitors. The friendly atmosphere attracts visitors and bargain hunters looking for bargains. Food is available on site under the covered market.

Cabaret Vert music festival (3rd week of August) - Charleville Mézières

The Cabaret Vert, a music festival founded in 2005, celebrates musical diversity with performances of rock, reggae, electro, rap, blues, metal, pop, and jazz. In addition to concerts, it offers a community village and a variety of artistic workshops, such as short film screenings, exhibitions, street theater, and a comic book festival, attracting enthusiasts from all walks of life to Charleville-Mézières. Shows at La Cassine (weekends in July/August) - Vendresse

La Cassine, a place steeped in history, was for a long time a refuge for dukes and princes passing through the Ardennes. Although the castle had its glory days, it fell into oblivion over time. In the 1980s, an association of enthusiasts took the initiative to bring it back to life by organizing grandiose shows, combining historical frescoes and light shows. Today, La Cassine is waking up and inviting everyone to rediscover its rich heritage through captivating events. Link

Ardenne'Rock (early July) - Signy L'Abbaye

What is Ardenn'Rock? It's a village, two stages, 7,500 spectators, and around 20 bands who rock for three days! It's the festival where rock really comes together, with national bands that rock and local talent ready to rock the floor. Good vibes!

Old Road Theater (early August) - Librecy - Hamlet of Signy L'Abbaye -

For over 80 years, the Théâtre de la Vieille Route has been offering a unique experience every summer in Librecy. Residents and vacationers come together to stage two or three plays over two weeks, with free performances in the small theater. A creative adventure that celebrates theater. Link

Cistercian Day (mid-September) - Signy L'Abbaye

The Association of Friends of Signy Abbey organizes a Cistercian Day in September. The day begins with a Gregorian Mass at the church in Signy. The afternoon is devoted to lectures on the region's rich monastic heritage, as well as the emblematic figure of William of St. Thierry, a Cistercian monk buried in Signy in 1148, presented by renowned academics and experts. A time of commemoration followed by a moment of conviviality at the local brewery concludes the day. Link

World Puppet Theatre Biennial (end of September) - Charleville Mézières

Since 1961, the Charleville World Puppet Theatre Festival has been the benchmark for this art, bringing together around 250 troupes from five continents. Over 10 days, more than 150,000 spectators attend more than 50 shows in 44 venues, not to mention street performances in the city center. This event combines artistic excellence, emotion, and pleasure. Link
